If this doesn’t make you stop to think, I don’t know what will. It’s a tag cloud of the most common words used in advertisements for toys marketed to boys. Ugh, kind of explains a lot. I wonder what would happen if we created  a similar tag cloud of the words the conservation community uses in its advertisements, press releases, brochures, websites, and other materials.

Would we see great big words like “clean water,” “family,” and “doing your part,” or would we see giant jargon terms like “watershed” and “nonpoint source pollution?”
