Heads up, Pennsylvania readers — the Water Resources Education Network is doling out grants of up to $5,000 for projects aimed at “educating and motivating local citizens about ways to protect community water resources from polluted runoff.” If you are thinking about throwing your hat in the ring for this, note the following:
We give priority to projects that incorporate social marketing concepts and encourage individual or public policy action that will protect and improve local water resources.
As I see it, “individual or public policy action” is consistent with the Water Words Message Method: Step One: Begin with Behavior, and the word “encourage” is covered Step Four: Insert the Words that Work. Anyway, that’s how I see it.
WREN is a great group to work with, if you haven’t had the pleasure yet.
