Manages and leads Great Lakes public outreach for Shedd Aquarium’s Great Lakes Conservation department. Strategizes, plans and implements the public educational outreach campaign, which supports communications objectives of Shedd’s Great Lakes conservation efforts, using excellent communication skills and problem-solving techniques. Maintains key relationships. Develops and maintains expertise on Great Lakes issues and messaging, and works closely with entire Great Lakes team to coordinate efforts. Manages and supervises part time outreach staff. Represents Shedd Aquarium to external and internal audiences.

Senior Communications Coordinator, Southwest Florida Water Management District, Tampa, FL
Researches, develops, implements, and evaluates public information and education projects. Personally conducts research and oversees consultants performing qualitative and quantitative research. Must be able to interpret, analyze, and apply data to create and implement programs to produce behavior change with measurable results. Writes for and oversees coordination of survey instruments, focus group protocols, research notifications, research reports, Requests for Proposals, grant proposals, educational materials and other items. Develops scopes of work, develops and oversees program budgets, manages research databases and manages subcontractors for public education projects simultaneously.
