Job: Outreach and Watershed Programs Coordinator
The Northern Virginia Soil & Water Conservation District is seeking a creative and enthusiastic team member to support its efforts to protect natural resources in Fairfax County, Virginia. Applicants should demonstrate experience:
- Facilitating hands-on watershed stewardship opportunities
- Developing and implementing adult and student environmental education programs
- Managing and supporting volunteers
- Coordinating multi-organization projects, and
- Creating web and print environmental outreach materials.
Two or more years of experience in watershed education and outreach and an undergraduate degree in environmental education, natural resources, environmental science or a related area is also desired. Applicants with expertise in native plants, wildlife habitat, sustainable landscaping, stormwater issues and/or low impact development are especially encouraged to apply!
The salary is the $40s — mid-$50’s, depending on experience.
