Not much aggravates me more than when big industries produce better environmental advertising and marketing materials than we do. Yes, they have more money, but that’s only part of the story. You know who ALWAYS uses faces to draw attention to their advertisements? Movie studios. Just about every poster they produce features big giant faces staring right atcha. They know that posters and ads with faces on them will draw curious gazes from across the mall, even if the faces are unknown or even unattractive actors and actresses. I have to agree that the Dominion ad makes me want to read it, and the NOAA one has me glancing at it and thinking “Boats? So what?” The two inset photos could be PEOPLE with faces, looking “right atcha.”
